This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs use of all services provided by Nexora Communications LLC ("Nexora"). It is part of our Terms & Conditions. By using the services you agree to this AUP and are responsible for ensuring that your users and customers comply with it as well.
Short version: use the network lawfully, get the consent the law requires before you call or text people, don't fake caller ID, and don't run schemes that abuse the telephone network. We suspend traffic that breaks these rules.
1. Lawful Use Only
You may not use the services in violation of any applicable law or regulation, including the Communications Act, FCC rules, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the Telemarketing Sales Rule (TSR), CAN-SPAM, state telemarketing and privacy laws, and export and sanctions laws.
2. Calling Rules
- Consent. Obtain and retain the level of consent required for every call you place — including prior express written consent for auto-dialed or prerecorded marketing calls to mobile numbers.
- Do-Not-Call. Honor the National DNC Registry, state DNC lists, and your own internal do-not-call lists.
- Caller ID. Never transmit misleading or inaccurate caller ID with intent to defraud, cause harm, or wrongfully obtain anything of value. Legitimate caller ID assignment (such as displaying your main business number) must involve numbers you are authorized to use.
- Robocalls. Unlawful robocall campaigns, voice-broadcast spam, "neighbor spoofing," and one-ring (Wangiri) schemes are prohibited.
- Calling-time limits. Respect federal and state calling-hour restrictions for telemarketing.
3. Messaging Rules
- Send application-to-person (A2P) traffic only through a registered 10DLC campaign or verified toll-free number, with accurate campaign descriptions.
- Obtain opt-in consent before messaging, honor STOP/HELP keywords immediately, and maintain suppression lists.
- Prohibited content categories defined by carrier and CTIA guidelines — including phishing, deceptive marketing, illegal substances, and SHAFT-category content where disallowed — may not be sent.
- Snowshoeing, grey routes, and content designed to evade filtering are prohibited.
4. Network Integrity
- No traffic pumping, access stimulation, call looping, false answer supervision, or artificial traffic inflation of any kind.
- No probing, scanning, or breaching of security controls; no denial-of-service attacks; no transmission of malware.
- No interference with other customers' use of the network.
- Credentials, SIP accounts, and API keys must be kept secure. You are responsible for traffic originated with your credentials, including fraudulent traffic resulting from compromised systems, so secure your PBX and endpoints.
5. Fraud Prevention
We monitor for patterns consistent with International Revenue Share Fraud (IRSF), toll fraud, subscription fraud, and robocall abuse. We may block destinations, apply velocity limits, or suspend traffic that presents a credible fraud risk, with notice where practicable.
6. Resale
If your Order permits resale, you must flow down obligations equivalent to this AUP to your customers, remain responsible for their traffic, and provide us reasonable assistance in tracing abusive traffic to its source, including under FCC traceback programs.
7. Enforcement
Violations may result in traffic filtering, suspension, or termination under the Terms & Conditions. Where unlawful traffic is involved, we cooperate with the FCC, the Industry Traceback Group, and law enforcement as required by law. We may update this AUP as regulations and industry standards evolve; material changes will be notified as described in the Terms.
8. Reporting Abuse
To report suspected abuse of Nexora services: mayamorgan@nexro.org or (207) 855-5490. Include dates, numbers involved, and any call or message samples you can share.
