What it is

How SIP Trunking works

A SIP trunk carries your calls between your PBX or session border controller and the telephone network. You keep the phone system you already own and change how it reaches the outside world.

Capacity is measured in simultaneous calls, so you can size a trunk to your real call volume instead of buying fixed circuits.

What it includes

  • Inbound and outbound calling for US numbers
  • Capacity sized to your simultaneous call volume
  • Works with SIP-compatible PBX and SBC equipment
  • Use of your existing numbers through porting
  • Usage records for checking your invoices
  • E911 address registration for each location

The exact features, coverage, and rates for your account are set out in your quote and Order.
